Hi, I’m Nadia, a Ligurian artist who captures the essence of the sea through the Japanese technique of Gyotaku. Come and discover more about me and let yourself be enchanted by the beauty of the sea, as seen through my eyes.
Welcome to the world of Gyotaku, the ancient Japanese technique of fish printing that transforms nature into art. Through my work, I honor this age-old tradition by using Mediterranean fish and fine Japanese papers such as Kozo. Each print captures the unique details of every fish, bringing to life pieces that authentically and uniquely tell the story of the sea's beauty.
Through my work, I offer a modern interpretation of this technique, highlighting local catches.
Using such a unique and ancient technique, Nadia Auleta has attracted the interest of both the press and television, earning her multiple interviews, including features on the national Rai channel.
